Bombers Boomer Broadway Classic June 24

Yankee Stadium will be the site of the third annual Bombers Boomer Broadway Softball Classic Monday, June 24, a doubleheader of seven-inning games. Current Broadway stars will face off in the first game at 10 a.m. and Boomer’s celebrities will oppose members of the Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball Team and Yankees alumni in the second game at 12 noon.

Those scheduled to participate include 2013 Tony Award nominees Gabe Ebert, Patina Miller and Charl Brown as well as past Tony nominees Constantine Maroulis, Jeremy Jordan and Brandon Victor Dixon, who will team up with Broadway stars Reeve Carney, Arthur Darvill, Dominic Scaglione Jr. and Aaron Tveit. Michelle Beadle, the New York correspondent for Access Hollywood, will join the Broadway stars and Tony Award nominees in the first game.

Participating in the second game will be former Yankees Brian Boehringer, Homer Bush, Brian Doyle, Charlie Hayes, Orlando “El Duque” Hernandez, Graeme Lloyd, Andy Phillips and Bernie Williams; WFAN Radio morning show personalities Boomer Esiason and Craig Carton; former Rangers left wing Adam Graves; former NBA star Wally Sczerbiak and NASCAR driver Kevin Harvick.

Prior to the first game, Rock of Ages star Justin Sargent will perform the national anthem.

A limited number of tickets are available for purchase on the Boomer Esiason Foundation website – http://www.esiason.org – or the Actors Fund website – http://www.actorsfund.org. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Boomer Esiason Foundation Fighting Cystic Fibrosis and The Actors Fund.

Gates will open at 9 a.m. Credential- and ticket-holding guests should enter the Stadium through the Gate 4 Suite Entrance at the corner of East 161st Street and Jerome Avenue.

Bombers Boomer Broadway Classic coming June 14

Yankee Stadium will be the site of the Bombers Boomer Broadway Softball Classic Thursday, June 14. The second annual doubleheader will feature two seven-inning games with current Broadway performers facing off in the first game and WFAN Radio All-Stars and television personalities opposing Yankees alumni in the second game.

Those scheduled to participate include former Yankees Ron Blomberg, Homer Bush, Brian Doyle, John Flaherty, Charlie Hayes, Lee Mazzilli and Mickey Rivers; singer Joe Jonas; Broadway stars Nick Jonas, Kathleen Marshall, Kelli O’Hara, Jeremy Jordan, Paul Nolan and Constantine Maroulis; WFAN morning show personalities Boomer Esiason and Craig Carton; TV star Steve Schirripa; NBC’s co-host of Today’s Professionals Star Jones; CNBC anchor Maria Bartiromo and Fox 5 Good Day New York hosts Greg Kelly and Rosanna Scotto.

Prior to the first game, Michael Cerveris, a 2012 Tony Award Nominee for his role in Evita, will perform the national anthem before taking the field with the Broadway stars.

Members of the Broadway Show League consisting of various Broadway stars will form the two teams in the event’s first game, scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. The second game between WFAN All-Stars and Yankees alumni will start at approximately 12 noon.

Celebrity softball game June 27 at Stadium

Former Yankees stars, performers from the Broadway stage and personalities from WFAN Radio will participate in the Bombers Boomer Broadway Softball Classic Monday, June 27, at Yankee Stadium.

The inaugural doubleheader will feature two seven-inning games, the first at 11 a.m. pitting two teams of current Broadway stars and the second at 1 p.m. pairing WFAN All-Stars and television personalities with Yankees alumni.

Those scheduled to take part include Broadway stars Aaron Tveit, Tom Wopat and Edie Falco; former Yankee players David Wells, Jeff Nelson, Cecil Fielder, Charlie Hayes, Mike Stanley, Jesse Barfield and Joe Pepitone; WFAN’s morning show duo Boomer Esiason and Craig Carton; Cake Boss “Buddy” Valastro, TV star Steve Schirripa, CNBC anchor Maria Bartiromo and Fox 5’s Good Day New York hosts Greg Kelly and Rosanna Scotto.

The Boomer & Carton show will broadcast live from the Stadium from 6 to 10 a.m. on-air and online at http://www.wfan.com that morning, and will be simulcast on MSG Network, followed by Joe Benigno and Evan Roberts from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on WFAN.

Prior to the first game, Tveit – the star of Broadway’s Catch Me If You Can – will perform the national anthem before taking the field with the Broadway stars.
